I forget i have this account...lol.
Seems like a lifetime ago that i posted here. Life changes...that is so true.
Oct of 2009 Holly started having breathing issues. She required oxygen 24/7. It took us 3 months to get her seen by her doctors in Ohio. They ran all their test on her. Found out her co2 were running in the 60s during the day and over 100 at night.
We tried cpap and bipap machines to lower her night time co2 but nothing would lower it more than a few points.
On Feb 5th 2010, they put her trach back in. It was suppose to be an easy fix, but after the surgery she wasnt ventilating well and ended up with pulm. hypertension, which killed her twice with several other times of almost dying. A 5day icu stay ended up being a 2wk stay. We were in the hospital for a total of 52days. Then in May another 7days because her heart rate was crazy.
She has recovered from the trach surg. but now we are looking at at least 2 more surgeries to extend her life. As it is right now if we do nothing she may live 2 years. She is on very high settings on her vent and she only has several more steps on it before it becomes useless.
Her lungs just dont function at night at all. They dont know if it is caused by an issue in her brain or if it is just poor lung function.
Right now we are waiting on doctors to decide which of the surgeries will best benifit her.
Please continue to pray for her.
