2010

I forget i have this account...lol.
Seems like a lifetime ago that i posted here. Life changes...that is so true.
Oct of 2009 Holly started having breathing issues. She required oxygen 24/7. It took us 3 months to get her seen by her doctors in Ohio. They ran all their test on her. Found out her co2 were running in the 60s during the day and over 100 at night.
We tried cpap and bipap machines to lower her night time co2 but nothing would lower it more than a few points.
On Feb 5th 2010, they put her trach back in. It was suppose to be an easy fix, but after the surgery she wasnt ventilating well and ended up with pulm. hypertension, which killed her twice with several other times of almost dying. A 5day icu stay ended up being a 2wk stay. We were in the hospital for a total of 52days. Then in May another 7days because her heart rate was crazy.
She has recovered from the trach surg. but now we are looking at at least 2 more surgeries to extend her life. As it is right now if we do nothing she may live 2 years. She is on very high settings on her vent and she only has several more steps on it before it becomes useless.
Her lungs just dont function at night at all. They dont know if it is caused by an issue in her brain or if it is just poor lung function.
Right now we are waiting on doctors to decide which of the surgeries will best benifit her.
Please continue to pray for her.

WOW!!

Ok 2008 was a rough year. My dad had open heart surg, husband had tonsils removed, father-in-law had open heart surg and i had knee surg. So coming into 2009 i was thanking God for a new year just to be out of 2008.
Then BAM!!! my husband calles last Thurs and said he was on his way home. i said it awful early he said i know i just lost my job. I said that is not even funny. He said your right its not.
So we just bought a new home and are trying to sale old home and now we are jobless. I just shook my head as i was praying the other day and said ALRIGHT Lord this year is completely in your hands because i can't deal with another year like last year, so You deal with this.
My husband has been out witnessing to people in the neighborhood and asking people he don't even know to come to church and helping others that are going through difficult times. God has a plan. He knows why this happened right now and i can only trust Him and know that it will all work out for His glory.
Please keep us in your prayers, not only for a job, but that we walk in God's will in our lives.
God bless!!

Holly update

Holly was out of school last week for fall break and during that week her grandpa had open heart surgery so it was a long week for her. I can tell she is really tired. She cried yesterday when i took her to school and said she was done with school. It took all i had not to bring her home with me.
She has a lingering cough from when she was sick about 2 weeks ago and her oxygen levels arent what they need to be; so we are still having to give oxygen off and on during the day, along with increased breathing treatment. She hasn't been wanting to walk much because she is tired, so she is really been putting the miles on her wheelchair. She normally eats like a little piggy, but she isn't eating much but she is drinking alot. I can tell in her grades that she is just wore out. She normally makes 100's but now she is making low 90's and even some 80's. She is normal on homebound by this time of year but we are trying to just cut back her days so she can go longer, but i don't think that is going to work out. She loves school but when she is tired she is just done with it all.
It's difficult to know with her when she is just trying you like a normal child would try you and when she is physical not able to do any more......where is my darn parenting manuel..it must have got lost in the mail....LOL!!

UGH!! Doctors

I finally went to the doctor today to have my knee checked out. I hurt it back in May but due to other pressing issues like Holly being sick and on O2 24/7 for 2 weeks and my dad having open heart surgery and my husband being rushed to the ER because his throat swelled shut and then having to have his tonsils and uvula removed.....others things seemed to be more pressing then the pain in my knee. So things have finally settled down and I went in today and had xrays done, course there is no break....i could have told them that. He is sending me to an ortho doc and for a MRI to see if ligments, tendons or cartlidge is damaged. SO he asked me what i had been taken for the pain and i told him anything i could get my hands on :) LOL. Come to find out he has no sense of humor and went into a big spell about damage to my kidneys and liver....blahh blahhhh blah!! You would think as much money they spend going to school to be doctors they could take a class on humor and bedside manners. UGH!! So thats my drama today.
